Development between 60s and 90s
Its operations began in over 5 decades ago in the 1960s, when Michael Leptos – the man with the innovating vision – started the property development business in Northern Cyprus, Kyrenia. As developments were passively happening, in 1974 the group had to relocate to the Middle East and the Arabian Gulf and their main emphasis was to construct major residential developments. The Saudi City project in Jeddah which consisted of 4000 homes was one of the group’s first major projects and was then considered to be ground-breaking.
The Leptos group eventually returned to Cyprus after purchasing a large area of land in the 1980s and from then onwards they began the development of multiple projects. The first of them were the prestigious Kamares Village which upon completion was expected to be the biggest holiday home development in Cyprus. The Olympus Village was being developed at that time also which proved to be great. Later in the 90s the group continued its activities by building the 5-star Coral Beach Hotel and the Thalassa Boutique Hotel & Spa to mention but a few. Simultaneously they were showing development progress on the Greek islands of Paros, Santorini and Crete. The Leptos group clearly focused on the construction and development of residential homes and shopping centres also, expanding their reach further.
Development flourishing in modern times
In the most recent decades, development increased exponentially and was flourishing, in turn affecting the economy of Cyprus positively as this grabbed the attention of foreign investors. Because of this, Michael Leptos received an award by the former President of Cyprus, for his contribution as a company to the Cyprus economy progression. Not long after the Leptos Group also received an award for the Aphrodite project in Greece. Michael Leptos and his group always had in mind his client’s feelings, wants and needs. All the above projects were constructed and developed to satisfy the needs of all their customers.
